Hello, I’m Debbie — a recently retired Adult nurse, Specialist District Nurse and former University Nurse Lecturer, now proudly running The Ear Queen Teesside. After more than 16 years working across hospital, community, and academic settings, I’ve seen how challenging it can be for people to access safe, reliable, and affordable healthcare.

My own experiences with recurring ear problems meant I often needed ear wax removal myself. Over time, I realised just how difficult it had become to find a trustworthy service. What was once routinely provided by GPs and District Nurses is now classed as a non‑NHS funded procedure, leaving many people to struggle with discomfort or seek private support.

This gap in care inspired me to retrain and specialise in ear wax removal — combining my clinical background with a service that genuinely makes a difference.

My nursing career and experience as a clinical educator — across practice, university, and college settings — shape the foundations of The Ear Queen Teesside. This blend of clinical expertise and teaching knowledge allows me to deliver a service that is focused, evidence‑based, and professionally grounded.

• BSc Adult Nursing (2010)

• PgDip District Nursing / Nursing in the Home (2015)

• Community Nurse Prescribing Qualification (2015)

• PgCert Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (2026)

I also hold an enhanced DBS (update service) and adhere fully to infection prevention and control standards.
